Aside from finding the proper location for this shot -and getting the horse down to it without the benefit of a trail- the biggest challenge was to get the horse to drink from the stream. This was foretold in the old proverb: you can lead a horse to water... something, something : )
It was an overcast day which was proceeded by a couple of days of steady rain. The overcast conditions served us well by providing very flat lighting, and the look and feel of inclement weather (after all, we were shooting rain gear).
We put the rain covers on the saddle and rider and misted them with water to simulate rainy conditions. The shot was used in Foxwood's wholesale catalog.
